New to therapy?

Therapy feels most effective when a connection exists between the therapist and client. People seek different approaches, personalities, and experiences in their therapist. Ideally, your therapist is someone who understands you, and with whom you feel comfortable sharing about your life, thoughts, feelings, hopes, and concerns. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation prior to booking an appointment. This call allows you to explore our connection, as well as answer any questions you may have.

Tips for your first consultation:

  • Consider what types of support are typically most helpful for you (i.e. a listening ear, accountability, tangible resources, suggestions & advice, etc).

  • Note how you feel before and after the first phone call or appointment. Were you able to say what you wanted to say? Did you feel heard and understood?
